Why RoboPROF Was Developed for Flooring Production
In modern wood flooring production, profiling and end-matching are often handled through multiple machines and manual setup steps. This results in large production footprints, long changeover times, and limited flexibility when product parameters need to change.
RoboPROF was developed as a compact, stand-alone flooring profiling and end-matching system replacing complex multi-machine setups. Long-side and short-side profiling are performed in one pass, with automatic configuration based on digital production parameters.

How RoboPROF Works
RoboPROF is not a conventional flooring CNC machine. It is a compact production system that integrates multiple machining logics, tool geometries, and board guidance principles into one self-configuring unit.

Tool Morphing Technology adapts tooling geometry and board guidance automatically.
At the core of RoboPROF is Tool Morphing Technology, which allows tooling geometry and board guidance to adapt automatically to flooring parameters. Instead of fixed setups, the system adjusts itself to match the required profile.
This adaptive behavior allows RoboPROF to replace multiple flooring machines within one compact system. Profiling operations are handled through coordinated internal logic rather than separate mechanical units.
Self-Configuring & Digital Setup
RoboPROF eliminates manual mechanical setup by shifting configuration logic into a fully digital control layer. Flooring profile requirements are defined as parameters, allowing the machine to configure itself internally before production begins.
Instead of relying on fixed tooling or manual adjustments, RoboPROF operates on a parameter-based configuration logic. Flooring width, thickness, and bevel dimensions are defined digitally, enabling the system to prepare tooling geometry and board guidance automatically.
By embedding setup logic directly into the control system, RoboPROF replaces traditional procedures that depend on skilled operators and manual mechanical intervention. This ensures consistent results while significantly reducing changeover time between flooring profiles.

Compact Footprint, Stand-Alone Operation
RoboPROF is designed as a fully stand-alone flooring profiling system that delivers high functional density within a minimal physical footprint. This allows manufacturers to achieve advanced profiling capabilities without the space and infrastructure requirements of conventional multi-machine lines.

RoboPROF occupies a minimal footprint while operating as a complete stand-alone system.
With a footprint of approximately 1.3 × 2.4 meters, RoboPROF replaces much larger conventional flooring profiling lines that typically require multiple machines and extended infeed and outfeed zones.
Designed for independent operation, RoboPROF does not require complex external wiring, separate electrical cabinets, or on-site tuning. Once installed, the system can be brought into production quickly and operated as a complete profiling solution.
Flexible Automation & Adaptation Options
Flooring manufacturers operate under very different production conditions. RoboPROF is designed to support this reality by offering flexible automation and adaptation options, while remaining fully functional as a stand-alone profiling system.
For autonomous production, RoboPROF can be integrated with infeed and outfeed conveyors, feeders, and gantry handling systems. Optional adaptation units can also compensate for board width, length, or thickness deviations in real-world flooring production.
This flexibility allows RoboPROF to support both experienced manufacturers and producers refining earlier production stages. Automation and adaptation can be applied selectively, depending on where geometric variation is managed within the process.

RoboPROF can be configured for full automation or selective adaptation depending on production requirements (conceptual representation).
Addressing Real-World Flooring Production Challenges
Flooring manufacturers face many of the same core challenges, regardless of scale or experience. RoboPROF is designed to address these challenges directly by simplifying setup, improving consistency, and supporting long-term production development without forcing unnecessary complexity.

Digital Connectivity & Remote Support
RoboPROF is designed as a digitally connected flooring production system. Connectivity enables remote diagnostics and service access, supporting reliable operation and continuous improvement over the system lifecycle.
Remote access allows technical specialists to assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, and service activities. This reduces dependency on on-site intervention and helps resolve issues faster when support is required.
Operational data can be used to support process optimization and long-term performance monitoring. This digital foundation makes RoboPROF compatible with Industry 4.0 integration and future software-driven enhancements.
